Pair of Spode Armorial Plates, Ca. 1820 made from ironstone with decoration done in Chinese manner. The rims with all over floral springs around a gold dagger border. ThThee central armorial device inscribed “AMOR ET AMICITIA”  (“Love and Friendship”) for the arms of Mills impaling Hatch.

The design is from the Chinese export originals made around 1765
