Large Derby Figurine Representing Britannia, Ca. 1765

England Ca. 1765

A lovely example of the early English sculptures produced at the
Derby Factory during Derby’s golden age. The form of this figurine is from the story of Una and the Lion. At the time of this listing I also have a figure of Minerva that would make a great companion piece.

Matched Pair of Derby Regency Porcelain Potpourri, Ca. 1825

A near pair by the same maker. They are English semi-porcelain not true porcelain as is most early English production. Gilded pineapple finials, Satyr’s masks, hand painted scenic decoration, lion’s paw feet and other gilded highlights on a “Warwick Vase” form. All these designs were popular during the Regency period.
