Fine Japanese Tall Cup and Saucers

Japan 19th Century

Admittedly I know little about Japanese porcelain but I can spot quality when I see it. There is one cup or beaker and two saucers of eggshell thin porcelain. The painting over the glaze is sharply delineated with rich colors and gold. I believe it dates from the 2nd half of the 19th century.

Price

$225

Condition

Excellent except one saucer has two very small rim chips on the underside. The gold is near perfect.

Measurements

3 1/2" high, 3 3/4" diam, saucers 5 1/4" diam.

Pair of English Regency Arm Chairs, Ca. 1820

This fine pair of English Regency arm chairs made from mahogany show great design talent. They are curvaceous and comfortable. The upholstery is patterned black horse hair with brass tacking.
