IRONSTONE WARMING PLATE / Decorated in a Japan pattern, this was made in England in the middle of the 19th Century. Bright colors with gold highlights. Unmarked

This is the first warming plate I’ve seen in decorated ironstone.

Excellent, nearly new except a few slight scratches and barely any rubbing of the gold.

The pale yellow/apricot background has a centered three part reserve, two sections with birds in landscapes and the central one of a floral spray with lily of the valley, peony, lilies, turk’s caps, etc..
