Chinese export porcelain covered vegetable dish made in the 1st half of the 19th Century. Both the lid and dish have a finely painted scene of Mandarins in a court yard and an outer band of dragons and flaming pearls. Orange peel glaze.

Condition

Very good antique condition. No repairs. Modest rubbing to the gold and four shallow short foot rim chips. There are two reserve areas on the sides of the lid and one on the base where a family cypher or heraldic device was intentionally rubbed off.
