Chelsea Gold Anchor Period Figure of a Colorful Musician

England Ca.1760

This is a personal favorite of mine. A musician leaning against a tree encircled with a floral vine. He is playing a small horn shaped instrument while keeping time on the tambourine that hangs from his wrist.

Matched Pair of Derby Regency Porcelain Potpourri, Ca. 1825

A near pair by the same maker. They are English semi-porcelain not true porcelain as is most early English production. Gilded pineapple finials, Satyr’s masks, hand painted scenic decoration, lion’s paw feet and other gilded highlights on a “Warwick Vase” form. All these designs were popular during the Regency period.
