Zalenka, Pair of Seascape Oil Paintings

A decorative pair of European seascapes from the foreshore signed Zelenka. Each is painted on a beveled wood panel. The signatures on one is distinct but largely obscured on the other. The first name initial is difficult to determine, possibly A, N, or J.

Antique Brass and Iron Serpentine Fire Place Fender, Ca. 1780

A nice small example with a serpentine facade. The top is capped in brass with iron wire work below on an iron and sheet iron base. These were made from the mid 1700s into the 1820s corresponding with furniture designs of that period with serpentine shaped fronts.
