This is a Chinese porcelain tureen made for the Western market. It displays finely delineated details, a colorful pallet and complex design elements. The cover and under plate have a heraldic device of a phoenix. All three pieces have the same Mandarin courtyard scene. The base has a rabbit formed handle on each end.

Condition

Light stacking wear and a re-stuck restored small piece on the rim edge to the under plate. The cover has had the knopf re-stuck and restored. The base has a small interior flake at the rim. All pieces have light scattered fritting and retain nearly all the gold. The repairs are professionally done and are difficult to detect
