Chinese Export Armorial Porcelain Plate, Ca. 1750

A good mid 18th century example of Chinese artistry on porcelain made for a European royal family. The crest and shield have lions rampant that are usually associated with the British Isles. The body of the plate is very thinly potted showing the hand of a highly skilled artisan.
