Sterling Tea Pot by George Burrows, 1819

England 1819

Sterling tea pot in a Regency form. This was made in London in 1819 and is hall marked GB. All the complex curves and detail work reflect highly skilled workmanship. There is an engraved armorial on one side of the lid and a heraldic device of a horse and arrow on the other side. Though I do not have a reference book with this exact Burrows’ mark pictured I feel confident that the mark is that of Burrows. The gross weight is 21 troy oz. The lid is also hall marked.
