Staffordshire Model of a Gothic Church, ca. 1870

England Ca. 1870

A lovely little colorful model of a Gothic church picked out in gold trim. Made in the Staffordshire district of England around the third quarter of the 19th century.

Excellent except for slight rubbing of the gold and some smoothing of the crusty floral applied garlands.

4 1/2" high, 4 1/4" long, 2 3/8" wide

I don’t get many andirons in bronze. This is a particularly nice group of right and left lemon top andirons with matching shovel and tongs. The log stops and tools have bee hive molded lemon tops.
