Set of Six Louis XVI European Arm Chairs

Continental Europe End of the 18th Century

A fine set of arm chairs with deeply carved flower heads, leafage, beading and stop fluting. They are an attractive dark amber honey color. Two chairs have gold and white fabric and the other four are light blue and white. They were upholstered by a skilled artisan who understood the period fashion while incorporating springs in the seats.

Condition

Very good antique condition. Far fewer repairs than are normally encountered on chairs of this type. The upholstery is nice and clean with little signs of use.
