Pair of English Floral Decorated Plates, Ca 1880

England Ca. 1880

A strikingly decorated pair of English semi-porcelain plates with unreadable impressed marks.
The rim is painted with such a dark cobalt blue ground that it appears almost black. The rim has a gold inner and outer edge with all over c scrolls and flower heads also in gold. The central areas each have a different spring of flowers. They have what appears to be a pattern number on the back “c3232”, a painter’s mark in blue and co-joined small black circles.
