Federal Period Gold Leaf Mirror, Ca. 1820

Probably American Ca. 1820

A gilded Federal period two part mirror. The top panel has incised lines forming palm frond type leaves. The white, gold, blue and black inset reverse painted glass depicts a cottage in a rural scene. A fine example made in the first two decades of the 19th century.
