English Cream Ware “The Prodigal Son” Plate

An English Cream Ware plate with the decoration done in Holland. The subject is from a series of scenes that tell the story of the Prodigal Son. This one translates as “In Misery”. The decoration is all over the glaze and very colorful. I find this one humorous as I look at the pigs.
