Early Samson Chinese Export Style Miniature Plate, French Ca. 1870

France Ca. 1870

This little plate is so perfectly done that it is nearly impossible to tell the difference between this and the genuine Chinese examples. The glaze imitates Chinese examples perfectly. If it were not for the tell tale
mark on the underside which the Chinese would not have used it would be hard to show how this was not made in China.
