Very good +antique condition, light scattered scratches , normal glaze flaking at the rim edge, one with two minor chips on the back side edge. No restoration

Fireplace Fender, Ca. 1830

A vigorously curved serpentine shaped fireplace fender made of brass and iron. This has an infrequently seen cross brace between the ends of the serpentine curves. This is the first time I have seen brass feet that resemble the base of some Boston classical andirons.
