High rococo English art in the ceramic form of a cherub or putto. Just what everyone needs to light their way in the dark.

Price

$600

Condition

Excellent. This LOOKS perfect except for one flower petal. It is, however masterfully restored. I could not see the repairs with good magnification. The only way I know it has repairs is that I tested areas with a sharp pin and found some modern over glaze and touch up color. Call for detailed in hand discussion.

Pair of English Lyre Back Mahogany Side Chairs

A great decorative pair of late 18th century George III side chairs. The design of the backs is based on the ancient Greek stringed musical instrument that is undoubtedly the root of the fully developed modern concert pedal harp. The earliest depiction of a lyre is thought to be from Sumeria around 2800 BC.
