Pair of 18th Century Meissen Cups & Saucers

Gemanic States/Dresden Mid 18th Century

I would describe these as “assembled” only because one saucer has a gilded rim edge and the other 3 pieces have a brown enamel rim edge. Perhaps a saucer broke and the owner purchased another from the Meissen factory right off the shelf of a new run. The pale yellow ground exteriors with flowers and butterflies. The floral decorated interiors with flowers and insects on a white ground.

English Regency Soup Tureen, Ca. 1840 Probably Worcester

A striking soup tureen with under plate most likely made at Worcester in the Flight, Barr and Barr period. It has an heraldic symbol with a motto “Vi Et Virtute” or loosely, strength and valor.
