United States Ca. 1840

ARGAND LAMPS, CA. 1840 labeled by John E. Jones of Boston.

A fine quality pair of patinated bronze double arm lamps labeled with an embossed metal tag attached on each burner. They come with 4 glass slender chimneys and 4 frosted cut-to-clear glass shades in a floral, leaf and berry pattern.

Excellent condition with normal signs of usage. They are electrified, perhaps done about 75 years ago. One shade has a short hair line at the bottom, all with slight roughage at the bottom edge.
