American Cherry Tilt Top Tea Table, Ca. 1770

America Ca.1770

A bold example probably made in Pennsylvania with added features of a molded dished rim and the turning “bird cage” device. This table retains a very pleasing mellow old finish.

$1200 ON HOLD

Excellent antique condition. Minimal repair. The only replacements are the key holding the bird cage in place and the strike plate for the lock which appears to have been fashioned in the late Victorian period.

27" high, 33" diameter

Fine Japanese Tall Cup and Saucers

Admittedly I know little about Japanese porcelain but I can spot quality when I see it. There is one cup or beaker and two saucers of eggshell thin porcelain. The painting over the glaze is sharply delineated with rich colors and gold. I believe it dates from the 2nd half of the 19th century.
