American Cherry Bonnet Top 18th Century Chest-on-Chest

United States 2nd half 18th century

An unusually small central Connecticut River Valley Chippendale bonnet top chest-on-chest. This is in two parts for easy moving. It has a beautiful broken arch pediment and a carved fan in the center top drawer. The original feet are nice and tall to give a vertical thrust to its appearance. Note the two top drawers on each side of the central fan carved drawer are curved to conform to the sweep of the pediment.
