American Candle Stand made from Mahogany with birch secondary wood ca. 1790. This is a very fine example made by a superior cabinet maker exhibited by the choice of dense mahogany, attention to the design of the post, molded legs and vertical proportions. Probably made in New England or New York.

Chinese Terracotta Temple Lion Lamps

A pair of Chinese earthenware glazed temple lion/foo dog figures made into lamps. I’m not sure of the age but my best guess is late 20th Century. The bases are black lacquered, brass fittings and cream colored silk shades.
