Worcester Royal Lilly Fruit Bowl from Worcester’s early period of manufacturing. The underside bears the crescent mark in blue. According to the Victoria and Albert Museum, during his visit to Flight’s ownership of the Worcester factory in 1788, King George III ordered a breakfast service in the Blue Lily pattern which was renamed ‘Royal Lily’ in honour of Queen Charlotte. This bowl probably predates the ownership by Flight in 1783.

A beautiful representation of the capabilities of the complex shapes and patterns of this premium company. It is in remarkable condition as nearly new.

Slight rubbing of the brick red border. No restoration or scratches. Just a small spot of a tiny bit that fell into the glaze in the kiln, located
within the central oval.
