England Ca. 1760
A pair of Georgian Walnut side chairs, ca. 1760. The crest rail is a “cupid’s bow” form with beautifully carved ears and volutes. The pierced back splat above two square front legs and “H” form leg stretches. The upholstery is usable but sagging a bit.

Condition
Good Condition. As these are walnut and not mahogany the elements have done their work. All evidence of 250+ years of use have not
been sanded away by overzealous restoration. The chairs are sturdy and some areas of bug damage have been filled and all areas of bug damage that could be accessed have been strengthened. Most of the early finish has been retained and all the historic signs of use are visible. They are sturdy and only need re-upholstering.
