Lowboy, England Ca. 1730

Great Britain Ca. 1730

A lowboy of British origin from the 1st half of the 18th Century. While this is a typical form it has the unusual feature of being made from cherry. The original cotter pin fastened handles and engraved brass appear to be original, pointing to the earlier part of the 1st half of the 18th century.

Except for the top, the finish appears to be very early or original.
