George III Mirror, Ca. 1770

England Ca. 1770

A George III mirror from the second half of the 18th century. Its a great example in a modest sized looking glass with many extra embellishments that would have added greatly to the cost of a basic example. It sports carved and gold leafed elements including trailing vines on the sides and engraved lines around the perimeter or the flat surfaces. Appears to retain its original mirror plate and early gilding.
