An unusual Georgian tea table with carved scroll leafage at the tops of the knees. The circular top is attached to the base by a “bird cage” hinge and swivel device that allows the table to be tilted up to more easily fit into a corner and when down to be turned while in use.The foot is a type also not commonly seen which more resembles a dog’s paw.

Condition

Very good antique condition. Only the key that secures the top to the bottom is replaced. Normal wear and signs of usage. At some time a screw was set into the bottom plate of the bird cage device to keep the top from turning but removed long ago.
