Large Painted Ironstone Plaque, Ca. 1860

England Ca. 1860

This is the largest painted plaque I have encountered. The pale yellow/apricot background has a centered three part reserve, two sections with birds in landscapes and the central one of a floral spray with lily of the valley, peony, lilies, turk’s caps, etc.. Each section is divided by gilt rococo C scrolls. Probably English

Condition

The surface of the vertical sides have some stress cracks in the glaze. The right side has rubbing of the surface color where larger original framing probably rubbed against that area. The frame is 20th century.
