Derby Figure Of A Zither Player Mounted As A Lamp

England Ca. 1780

A lovely depiction of a young woman playing a zither on a high
style rococo gilt and white scrolled base. The stand was custom made in the 1st half of the 20th century.

Price

$1,300

Condition

Small losses to some flower petals and a few leaf tips. One branch is shortened. The trailing pink head ribbon is repaired with a staple in the middle. The ribbon repair is the most obvious and as it is on the back, an average observer would not notice it.

Chinese Terracotta Temple Lion Lamps

A pair of Chinese earthenware glazed temple lion/foo dog figures made into lamps. I’m not sure of the age but my best guess is late 20th Century. The bases are black lacquered, brass fittings and cream colored silk shades.
