Pair of Spode Japan Pattern Cans and Saucers, Ca. 1820

Pair of Spode beautifully decorated in orange, blue and gold Imari or Japan colors. This pair of cans and saucers were undoubtedly produced by Spode in the early 19th Century . One saucer and one can is painted on the underside with the 1495 pattern number. There is a central basket of flowers by a fence, four bird on a branch vignettes and a gilt rim band.

Condition

Very good condition. There is some gold rubbing of the central design on the saucers and light rubbing of the edges of the rims. One can has a very short hair line. One saucer has a minute glaze chip.

Measurements

Cans are 2 1/2" high and 2 1/16" diameter. The saucers are 1" deep and 5 3/8" diameter
