Chelsea Porcelain Exotic Bird Plate Ca. 1755

England Ca. 1755

A striking English example from the early production of the Chelsea factory. A similar plate is illustrated in Godden’s “British Porcelain”, page 132, #136.

Price

$2400

Condition

Very good condition. There are small areas of enamel touch up, mostly to the green leaves. As I recall there is a consolidated line that I can't find with heavy magnification and very small repairs to the edge of the rim. The whole plate has been over sprayed and looks nearly new. Scattered glaze fissures.

Measurements
