A delectably sweet bunch of fruit. This oil on canvas is signed and dated “H Brunner Lacoste, 1857”. Henri Emile Brunner-Lacoste (1838-1881) is listed in Benizit.He exhibited frequently at the Paris Salon making his debut in 1859. It appears to be in its original gilded frame.

Very Good Antique Condition. It has been professionally cleaned and lined with some small well done repairs and in-painting adjacent to melon, small section in pineapple fronds and upper right edge. The touch ups are only visible upon very close inspection and black lighting.
