Coin Silver Scenic Calling Card Case

A fine quality mid 19th century card case attributed to the Philadelphia firm of Leonard & Wilson Silversmiths. Evidently many of Leonard & Wilson card cases are un-marked as this one is but other marked examples are known of the exact details of form and size as is this example. The workmanship is elaborate and crisp with a view of Trinity Church, New York City on one side and the other with an owner’s initials. It weighs 1.45 Troy oz.
