Large Derby Figurine Representing Britannia, Ca. 1765

England Ca. 1765

A lovely example of the early English sculptures produced at the
Derby Factory during Derby’s golden age. The form of this figurine is from the story of Una and the Lion. At the time of this listing I also have a figure of Minerva that would make a great companion piece.

There are the usual pieces of leaves and flowers missing. Remarkably the extended arm and it's fingers are intact. A few other small repairs on the base and one side of the sword hilt is missing.

Pair of English Cornucopia Form Spill Vases

A very decorative pair of vases that are Regency/Victorian transition in form. They would have been originally placed on a fireplace mantel to hold rolled paper “sticks” to aid in lighting a fire. There is no maker’s mark
