Massachusetts Chippendale 18th Century Mahogany Drop Leaf Dining Table

Great example of a coastal Massachusetts mahogany drop leaf table with very graceful legs ending in ball and claw feet. This example was probably made in the Salem area. Superior quality matched top with strong swirled figure. The depth with the leaves down is 18″. It retains a pleasing early finish that is lightly crazed

Condition

Very good antique condition with a mellow older finish. The top of two legs have some small repairs which are not apparent under normal viewing. There is a "blow out" chip over one hinge on the fixed center board rule joint (not visible with the leaves up).
